My entire family trains with Doug Staley at Competitive Wellness. I found Doug through a recommendation almost 3 years ago. I was looking for someone to work with my then 12-year-old son who was struggling with self-confidence. I am so appreciative of Doug’s patience (working with middle-schoolers is not easy) and his strong focus on safety and good technique for a growing body. My son is now a sophomore in high school and continues to improve his strength and confidence. I was so happy with my son’s experience that 2 years ago, I also started working wit Doug. Even though my whole family trains with Doug, we have very different goals. My son is focused on gaining strength and setting new personal records. I am working on overall strength as well as nutrition and weight loss. My husband is a runner and is working on improving his performance. Doug creates unique plans for each of us to support our different needs and goals.
Doug is a great trainer, but he also runs a great business. He is very responsive to messages and questions and provides information & support inside and outside of the gym. He is meticulous about safety during COVID. He only allows one client into the gym at a time and thoroughly sanitizes between each client. Beyond all this, Doug is just a great guy who somehow makes working out fun even when I am working hard and pushing my limits. I very strongly recommend Competitive Wellness & Doug Staley for anyone looking to improve their strength and their health.
